Long Gone

The hours turn to days;
The silence cuts me to the core.
Will I ever find my way out of this maze,
Even though I've been here before?

And I'll be waiting right here,
Where you left me in a puddle of tears.
Oh but one thing will remain the same,
Doesn't matter after how many years:

I still want to run to you when I fall,
And I still silently cry your name when I'm lost,
Even though I know that you're
Long gone.

We can't make it to the night
Without our does of daily fighting,
And razor sharp words,
Salty tears,
Then anger comes like bursts of lightning.

You leave me here alone,
Deep in a storm cloud of fear.
Oh but one thing won't ever change,
Even through my veil of tears:

I still want to run to you when I fall,
And I still silently cry your name
When I'm lost,
Even though I know that you're
Long gone.

I really like your work in general. It has a lot of artistic appeal, and a lot of deep, seated meaning. but you need to add a little more consistency, maybe some punctuation.

Interesting. A tale of sadness and sorrow, yet also a hidden tale of relationship issues XD I love it. Ironically, I just submitted a poem sorta like this, it's not approved yet, but when it comes out it'll be called "The path" XD My first name choice was actually "Gone", but glad I picked the one I did lol. Anywayz, loved it, and keep writing
