She dropped the phone and burst into tears,
So anxious,
Waiting for that call,
Needing to know, yet never wanting it to come,
The doctor just confirmed her fears,
In that moment,
The world collapsed,
It was true,
Her husband held it in and held her tight,
He came running,
As soon as he saw, he knew,
Grasping him, as life itself,
Cancer don’t discriminate or care if you’re just 38,
With three kids who need you in their lives
