Sorry Lost Its Meaning
"I'm sorry,
 I hurt you."
 That phrase is over used,
 Those words lost their meaning...
I told you a bunch of lies,
 Lost track of the number.
 Broke a dozen promises,
 Never kept my word.
You put up with my attitude,
 For far too long.
I never deserved to call you mine in the first place,
I still find it difficult to believe you ever gave me a chance.
 It's my fault you're leaving,
 Should've changed my ways.
 It's too late now,
I'm forced to live a life without you.
 "I'm sorry,
 I hurt you."
 That phrase is over used,
 Those words lost their meaning.
It's just a waste of oxygen when I speak,
 Don't believe a word I say.
Because I've lied more times than I've said, "I love you."
And I'm not willing to cause you more pain than I already have.
So no, I won't apologize, or say "I'm sorry,"
Those two simple words lost their meaning...
 Forgiveness is hard,
 When all trust is broken.
 Favorite lines evaporate,
 From reciting them too much.
 I lied to you,
 More than you'll ever know.
It's something I'm not proud of,
A lesson I have yet to learn.
 You're better off without me,
Don't permit me to treat you like this.
The last thing I want is to see you go,
But I haven't shown much affection toward you.
 "I'm sorry,
 I hurt you."

 Those words lost their meaning.
It's just a waste of oxygen when I speak,
 Don't believe a word I say.
