The best mind is at 3am.
The mind's the purest.
Clear of formalities.
Clear of normalities.

Third eye wide open
Gazing into the reaches of the eternal.
Bare foot on cobblestone
Under arches.
Latin in the blood of God.
Our roots come out to play.
Ancestors like to play.

Chant the way to the afterlife.
See so clearly what happens when we die.
Moving through the body,
The history is lain.
Painted
Tainted
Won't wash away
No pain.

Our future is our past.
The secret is revealed.
Eternity is now.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece after watching a documentary on Benedictine Monks; which explains the "Latin in the blood of God" line. I was so inspired by there dedication that I decided I would write this :) Enjoy.
