Petrified MAG
I, I met you on an early Tuesday,
Saw your face and I couldn't turn away.
Wanted to speak, but my tongue was tied.
I realized right then I was petrified.
I had a thousand questions I wanted to ask,
But before I knew it, you left my class.
'Cause I was never one to think fast
When it came to making conversations last.
Stopped in motion,
My voice keeps humming.
And you haven't figured out …
I try to talk, but, girl, you seal my lips shut,
I try to think, but all my t-t-t-thoughts get cut.
I try to see closer but everything is a blur,
You have me petrified, petrified, p-p-p-petrified.
I watch you in the halls, but you just look me by,
Can't speak (speak) because you make my mouth run dry.
I'd ask you out if I had the words to shout,
But I'm petrified, petrified, p-p-p-petrified.
S-s-s-so, I can't make you mine,
Because you've been his all this time.
But I've had weeks to think it over,
And I won't give up, 'cause I'll never find another.
To reveal all the things I feel,
And you haven't figured out …
I try to talk, but, girl, you seal my lips shut,
I try to think, but all my t-t-t-thoughts get cut.
Days go by and you're always on my mind (Oh)
And if we ever talk alone I'm hoping I won't be petrified, petrified by you …
I met you on an early Tuesday,
Saw your face and I couldn't turn away …
I try to talk, but, girl, you seal my lips shut,
I try to think, but all my t-t-t-thoughts get cut.
I try to see closer but everything is a blur,
You have me petrified, petrified, p-p-p-petrified. (You have me petrified)
I watch you in the halls, but you just look me by,
Can't speak (speak) because you make my mouth run dry.
I'd ask you out if I had the words to shout,
But I'm petrified, petrified, p-p-p-petrified. (You have me petrified)
Petrified, petrified (Got this feeling inside)
Petrified, petrified (You make my mouth run dry)
Petrified, petrified,
You have me petrified, petrified, p-p-p-petrified.

Scenery is nothing more than poetry.
Love is nothing more than chemicals.
'Cause fairy tales are just scribbled pages filled with happy endings and little white lies.
One person can make a difference, but a crowd can make a change.
