She's Sitting On a Rooftop.
She's sitting on a rooftop
 with dangling feet,
 a soft warm breeze,
 sensational on her dampened cheeks.

 She's sitting on a rooftop
 surrendering to defeat.
 She's still breathing,
 living without a heart beat.

 She's sitting on a rooftop
 with red weary eyes,
 looking at the darkening sky
trying so hard not to cry.

 She's sitting on a rooftop
 her bright soul growing dim.
 She's thinking about it again
& says, "I'll always love him."

 She's sitting on a rooftop
 a tear breaks through
she stares as it lands on her shoe,
whispering, she says, "I'll miss you."
