The other day you came up to me
Said you wanted to talk
Said you were leaving
Said you had to say goodbye
But why?
Why’d you have to go?
I should have known
You don’t love me anymore
The other day you called me
You said you wanted to talk
Said you wanted to forget
Said you wanted to erase
All the memories you have
But why?
Why’d you have to go?
I should have known
You don’t love me anymore
So why? Huh?
Was I not good enough?
Did I not love enough?
I thought what we shared was special
I thought what we shared was real
I guess I was wrong
So I no longer ask…
Why?

I now know why
It just didn’t come before
