Streaks of vanity paint the
walls of our subjective minds.
Pounding, pounding, grounding
the thought of liberation.

The friction between skull and stone
brings heat to a cold, cynical heart;
still beating the cage from which
we signal our defeat.

(Chorus):
Vision blurs to black and white,
our ink blot eyes to never value sight.
As what lies beneath scratches the surface
we move to suppress it further.

Further into the melting pot we glide,
forever failing
to see intention served its justice.
The senses collide to form our
ever enticing
succubus of false clarity.

She wishes to see the light
fade from our lucidity.
a monochromatic breath
Breathing her will down my neck.

But no longer shall we be confined within a carnal mesh,
for we are beyond flesh!

(Interlude)

Listen to the voice of reason;
look beyond physical form.
We find ourselves united
as many, not as one.

(Chorus):
Vision blurs to black and white,
our ink blot eyes to never value sight.
As what lies beneath scratches the surface
we move to suppress it further.

Reality beckons rationality.

Very good!  My only concern is that it is a song and there is no rhyme scheme.  What kind of music would it be set to?
