What Singing Means To Me
I’ve been looking forward to this moment
Since the beginning of the year
 And now the time’s come
 It’s finally here

 We all stand there
 In our long black dresses
 As the audience waits
We start to have second guesses

 We start to get nervous
 Everyone wants to hear us
This is what we’ve practiced for
And now the time is near us

 I look to our director
 He gives me the cue
 And I walk on stage
 The leader of the group

 We file onto stage
 Ready as ever
 We start to sing
 And it sounds even better

Better then we sang in rehearsal
Hours of work paid off right then and there
The music flows right out f us
 Without a flaw anywhere

 For we know this music
 We know the routine
 But in its own way
 Each concert’s special to me
