"The only true love I ever knew
Was behind those downcast eyes
The only comfort I ever felt
Was during those long hours of loneliness
When I felt for you
I do believe
Only innocence can save the world..." -Ocean Soul

I buried my dreams in a grave next to yours
And wept the past to foreversleep
Your angel failed to heal the broken heart
Left pining for you after our farewell

Death had granted you peace, but had left me with a dying love for you...

I still hold you between what used to be my heart
And the shattered ruins of yesterday
The childhood days of joy that you shared with me
Now rest in peace in love and lorn

Death had granted you peace, but had left me with a dying love for you...

Your voice sings to calm me
Through the voices of the woods
With a love that death could never fray
I wait for the sweet day
When I run back to your side
And you and I fade into forever

Well the line "Death had granted you peace..." was originally written in Finnish, but since I didn't know how to type that on the computer, I just translated it into English...this song I wrote to basically acoustic guitar, tin flutes and string synths. It's supposed to be a folk/gothic sounding piece.

Moving and sweet... I enjoyed it. I'd love to hear the kind of music you'd put to this
