Sake of another
It's the quiet things that no one ever knows
The things that no one ever shows
 And so the story goes

 We lay it all down
 And take the punishing blows
 One after the other
 Coming from a brother
 A mother or a father

 It doesn't seem to bother
 The world keeps spinning
 But we're all ending

 Twisting fraying
 Betraying
The friends we've held for years
 Who've wiped away our tears
 Stabbed in the back
 No turning back

 We lay it all down
 And take the punishing blows
 One after the other
 Killing our brothers
 For the sake of another

We leave these words here at the alter
Promises to God to try not to faultier
Walk out the doors and forget we spoke them
Like religions just a celebrities trend

This may very well be the end
 And we're all about breaking
 Never learned how to bend
Take our hearts and tie them up
 Still frayed we come undone
And destroy the ones we love

 We lay it all down
 And take the punishing blows
 One after the other
 We lay it all down
 For the sake of another
