We always wanna widen what’s in our wallet

We always wanna find the dough to deposit

We always wanna be rich with big bills

We love making money, more than Winnie loves honey

We spend our entire lives working our butts off

We work for that dough, even through headaches and coughs

I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it

But spending is so much easier than it is to save

It is a fire so wild it flies through your wallet

It starts so small but spreads so suddenly

It is the pain that emerges when you get stung by a bumblebee

When you go to the mall, it makes you want to buy it all

It doesn’t even care how stupid or random

As long as you like it, it’ll make you buy them

But, hey, at least you’ll have the same headband as Jayson Tatum

I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it

Eventually you’ll realize you’ve run out of resources

You’ll have no more dough- you can’t buy any more purses

Regretting everything you spent without even thinking

But it’s too late to retrieve what you spent

There’s only one thing you can do: work harder to pay off whatever money that’s due

And try to patch up the hole you made in your own wallet

I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it
