I miss you, dear one
I wish you were here by me
I miss your gentle voice
And your face I long to see

I know the miles separate
But I still do look for you
In every place, every day
My searchings are new

I see you in every face
I see you in the stars
Yet not a one is as you
No one like who you are

All around me, people are together
So happy, as it should be
I only wish you were here
To enjoy this time with me

But a little distance is a good thing, they say
So we bless together our time
But I can’t help but wish sincerely
Every day of yours was mine

Thank you... every now and then I try to change up the mood in which I write, or sometimes I actually do write when I'm sad... so finally a more somber poem!

This has such a melancholy tone...bitter-sweet and somber.  I love how it starts out sad, but ends on a positive thought--or seeing the one you care about again--but still, it's pretty sad.  It's well-written and flows very nicely.  Great job once again!
