i stare through the glass
water rolling down the window
the dim light from the sun
this is the 14th day
the yard is a swamp
the lagoon overfilled, spilling out
houses washed away
this is the 14th day
sleeping afraid your house will be next
landslides more and more occurring
dogs dead, drowned in the downpour
this is the 14th day
people taking shelter on high hills
looking down at the lake beneath them
slowly rising each day
this is the 14th day
