Great Gaga Tragedy
June 10, 2025
At boy scout camp, in the gaga pit,
A random kid took a reckless hit.
My friend bounced the ball,
The kid took a great fall.
The nurse rushed in with her medical kit!

I decided to write this poem because it was a memorable but dangerous moment. I went to scouting camp every summer until 10th grade. During my second year of summer scouting camp, my troop and I were playing gaga ball with another troop. During one of the games, it ended up being a one on one with my friend and another small kid. My friend accidently bounced the ball high and tried punching the ball to hit the kid's leg. However, the ball hit his head and he got concussed. The camp took this as a serious lesson and put precautions on the game.
