Happy Birthday
February 12, 2020
It is not just a day,
It is more than a day.
Per year there’s one day,
Where we have nothing to say
Other than happy birthday.
It's more than yesterday,
Because it's our birthday.
It's not a day to mourn,
It's the day we were born.
Put down all the stress
Find something beautiful to put on, like a dress.
So get up and get dressed,
Let’s see how we’ll be impressed.
It's a day to celebrate.
Not a day we can afford to waste.
So try not to have any regrets,
Go on out and start to celebrate!

I wrote this piece of poetry in December when I was think of my upcoming birthday-I was thinking of a way to give myself a present. I figured this would be it-writing a poem. I remember showing it to my teacher, and he said that it would make a good birthday card if I sent it to someone. So, here I am trying to share a piece of me with you.
