Stop...can you hear that?
That thump-thump, thump-thump, thump-thump?
Can you hear my heart?

Does it mean something?
Does it mean nothing to you?
Just...nothing at all?

Stop...listen closely
Listen to the beating sound
Of my beating heart

It means more to me
It signifies I'm alive
That I am breathing

I am standing here
Just stop and listen to me
Listen to my words

Listen to the sound
That thump-thump, thump-thump, thump-thump
The sound of my heart

People tend to acknowledge the fact that people like to be noticed. No one likes to be ignored. There have been times where I've felt that people didn't care to notice that I was alive. That my heart was still beating. But now I see that people know. People see that I'm alive and they see who I am as a person. Point is...don't ever feel like your worthless or that you don't matter. Just think "I'm alive...and that's all that matters."
