Parchment Paper
We are parchment paper
Clean, crisp, and white.
We begin pure and beautiful
Then we become curious.
And ink begins to show
Every instant
Every moment
Shows
Every memory is written down
The good with a beautiful scrawl
While poor choices are seen as great globs of ink
Throughout the years of being shoved hastily into drawers
And being passed like a silly note
We are continuously cut by the steel blade of our quill
The more we write
The more we hide
We rip ourselves to shreds
We are parchment paper
Once clean now painted
Tainted
But we shall not stop writing
