Innocence Abandoned
You said you wanted space
Right after you got to third base.
Your words hurt;
Just like your unwanted hand up my short black skirt.
You said you loved me, and you’d never leave.
Now you’re out with another girl as I’m left here to grieve.
I see you in the halls and try to avoid eye contact,
While you’re walking with a new girl that made me realize everything I lacked.
I thought, maybe if I tried harder to say no to your advances,
I wouldn’t be facing these consequences.
People called me easy, maybe even a sleaze.
I stand in front of my mirror, my reflections now seems like a disease.
I slowly became more and more distant;
I couldn’t take anymore of this judgement .
My friends abandoned me as I became more of an outcast.
Which made me think, how much longer will my life last?
