Inspire Me
Inspiration comes from the mind.
It comes from the well,
Down deep inside us,
Where we never dare to go.
It comes from the sky,
Like rain falling softly,
Leaving a soft smell of pride,
Lingering through the air.
Inspiration comes from the fields of memories
We accumulate over the years.
It comes from everywhere,
And nowhere.
Inspiration is not always soft and secure.
Often it is jagged and cruel,
Making you tremble as you work through it.
But when your hands steady,
And your heart beat slows,
You’re left with a miracle.

I wrote this piece while feeling rather uninspired by everything. I think I just let my mind go and this is what came out.
