Long, Long Waters
Long, long waters stand still as glue,
Leaving the essence of tranquility and utter silence,
As I go in my boat to embark on my journey.
Where will I go?
Long, long waters move from right to left!
Swish! Swoosh! Clap!
I look around to see animals of brilliant hues and tones,
Dancing through the blinding, turquoise waves.
Where will I go?
Long, long waters dance from the bottom of the sea to the top.
Careful, now! The boat is not in balance.
Cold, heavy rain on the ocean-land
Not one living being in sight,
Only creatures of the night.
Where will I go?
Long, long waters stand under the Milky Way galaxy
The moon is calling my name.
Its shiny complexion in the absence of Sun.
Carina, Orion, Sagittarius!
Halley’s Comet flies away, its icy tail guiding the lost souls.
Where will I go?
Long, long waters guide me back home!
For I am without a guide, and I have witnessed all the beauty in the world!
My hair flows within the wind, moving along with the silent howl.
My journey is not over yet, I must embark on my own!
I must commence on a journey without the long, long waters.
Holding onto the sides of the wooden boat,
I let go of its wings.
The boat is a bird as it begins to fly above the ocean,
The stars shine brighter as I leave the Earth.
Where will I go?
I open my eyes from my deep trance,
grabbing my fishing rod.
I look into the clear, starry skies that cover the sky like a blanket,
“Where will I go?”
