Choices
A mask I wear a mask I hide
My broken personality tide
The one with stereotypes and expectations
Fed to all of us by the nations
I know I’m different but what would result
Were I to stray from the norm, would they say I default?
These masks we feel we all must wear
Keeps us from the care we all could share
Are we really that scared to be our own selves
An old precious book hidden on many shelves
So now let me pose this question of you
Given your choices, what will you do?
