Child No More
Down comes Gods heavy tears
Puddles no longer a playground
Now simply a nuisance
Fragmented memories of
Rain tasting and puddle pacing
Replacing themselves with
The mundane of responsibility
And the bore of an adult life
The antithesis of the life you knew.
So step over that puddle,
Knowing what you've left
Behind you.
