Dragon's Den
I am standing by the dragon's den
peering inside the deep, dark hole.
There's a dim light inside
and as I slowly entered the dragon awoke
It's scales were red as the flames it emitted.
Taking my pencil in hand,
I sketched the dragon
who was slowly awakening.
It grabbed my flannel and I fell back,
the lunch I packed falling out.
The dragon voraciously gobbled it up.
A lone bug crawls by.
The dragon pulled me close and I shut my eyes.
My mountain bike lay outside, and a squirrel played on it.
Once I had looked over again the dragon became a boy,
with brown hair, forest green eyes, and a button nose.
We danced in the den as a plane wrote out an ad.
Now I know he was the prince known as Dylan,
and I had broken the curse placed on him as a child.
We got married and lived happily ever after.
