Crescent Moon

A crescent;
The shimmering light of the moon appears to glisten off of her porcelain skin.
But, perhaps, the moonlight is not reflecting off of her skin, but it emits from it.
I realize now, she glows to will the night safer. She rolls the waves to soothe the weary.
It would be a disservice to compare her to the moon, for she is one with it.
