What Color am I?
Sometimes, I am a blueberry blue—
  serene and sincere.
Like the pristine shell of a robin’s egg:
  waiting to be cracked.

But once opened, I can be raspberry red—
  full of rage and rancor.
Engulfed in the flames of society:
  never enough to please.
But why can’t I be a plum purple?—
  with intent and independence.
A blooming lilac flower in spring:
a perfect mix between the two.
