You don’t want me to be ok.
You never did
You needed my broken self
Because the true version of me
The fully intact, functioning, healthy me
Would never love you.
She wouldn’t waste a minute on you.
The strong, intelligent, beautiful woman I am
Wouldn’t buy into your bullsh*t.
But keeping me in darkness wasn’t so easy
And I saw through your facade.
Now you want to try again?
Pull the same game on a new day
Slow down boy, have a little self respect
You’re a rat against a tiger now
And I don’t have the patience for you anymore.
