A message
Heart full of rain,
Held back by the darkness of the past,
Soul was once bright, now gray without feeling
The sweetness of a kept promise never tasted,
Dark caves holding that missing part,
The caves never to be found.
A pale secret with black whispers haunting,
No hope of escaping, the mazes of the mind
The shortness of time minus the sky
Equals the secret never told,
Buried too deep, covered with insistent frost,
Where only the leaves of the past know.
Eyes of flame to hide the hurt,
That lose their zing as the sun sets.
During secret journeys,
Eavesdropping on the world,
With only a hint of the true purpose.
To see through the blurry air,
Thick with lies, secrets, betrayals, and pain,
That fills a cave so vast and so dark
Means getting lost to find it.
A slow collapse of words,
A slow collapse of thoughts,
A slow collapse of mind.
No one leaves without being changed.
A tree in winter, with a crow on a branch,
Keeping a secret that could mend a rift,
So vast, so dense, so dark,
Hidden away like a precise shade of blue too hard to describe.
Falling into extinct volcanoes,
Where a planet on fire was left,
To those great flames crows flock to hide.
Secrets will hide secrets, lies hide lies,
In a lonely room, with only half the bats listening.
White blossoms, the scent of pine and forgotten dreams
Thrown into the wind, with the tainted light of stars
Dancing through the night.
A pale secret with black whispers haunting,
No hope of escaping, the mazes of the mind
The shortness of time minus the sky
Equals the secret never told,
Buried too deep, covered with insistent frost,
Where only the leaves of the past know.
