Trapped
I was not prepared
The sky was grieving
The Badlands
The road tore at my tires
As a dog to meat
I met a man
His lips scaly as a snake
Also, a woman
Who was hungry to talk
I felt unwanted
It was strange
The night won't catch me
I went into a state of flight
Escaping from the unearthly landscape
The silence unsettled me
I wanted to go
I was trapped
As the sun angled
Everything changed
As the sun poured the last light
Everything lost their burned and dreadful look
And glowed
It was as beautiful as the moon
As the sun angled
It was beautiful
And for once I would let the night catch me
