Lonely

Lonely
There she was,
standing in peace and serenity.
All alone, nothing to be heard.
White walls surrounded her,
She wished and prayed for this.
She could finally be her best self.
She wanted to be alone.
But strangely, she felt trapped in her own reality.
“How can I get out of this place?”
The silence slowly crept in on her,
Her mind felt overwhelmed.
Even though,
She was surrounded by nothing.
Thoughts in her mind raced
100 miles per hour, they seemed
As if they were producing be the millisecond.
She worried
when there was nothing to worry about.
She felt abandoned
Even though she asked to be alone.
She felt lonely
Even though she had herself;
And that alone, is all she asked for.
Being isolated made her feel neglected.
But wait?
Isn’t this what she has wished and prayed for?
She wanted to leave,
She wanted things to go back to normal,
She wanted what she had given up.
But there she stood,
All alone in a blank world.
She seemed to drift farther,
Into a place she had wished and prayed for.
But it was nothing like she had imagined.
She started running
Hoping to find a way out.
But when she stopped to catch her breath,
There she was still, stuck,
Standing in peace and serenity.
