With.
She is in a state of pure indifference.
A strange, wobbly, uncomfortable
Limbo between sad and content.
What is content?
It’s not happy, per se.
But without happiness,
Is she not sad?
She doesn’t feel sad.
She feels void.
A strange, wobbly, uncomfortable
Limbo just above sad.
This essential emptiness could easily be interpreted
As sad.
But this isn’t that.
She knows sad.
It came to her as heartbreak.
It sat and cried with her.
Funny how it’s kind enough to keep you company while you’re at your worst.
Sadness is a friend.
Friends make you comfortable.
Content.
To be accompanied by sadness,
You are with friends.
To be accompanied by friends,
You are content.
But she is indifferent.
A strange, wobbly, uncomfortable
Limbo just below content.
Abandoned by her friend, sadness.
But without friends…
Is she not sad?
