A Letter to Hunger
Dear Hunger
Please stop knocking at my door
I just ate a big meal
Why would I want more?
You make my stomach thunder
And make my eyes rain
You’ve never brought me happiness
You only bring me pain
I try to sleep you away
But wake up to your screams
You fill my stomach with emptiness
And bring me really bad dreams
I’m asking you politely
To stop knocking at my door
If you didn’t catch it the first time
I DO NOT WANT MORE!
