The "Perfect" World
To the views upon many,
We live in a “perfect” world,
However,
I have to disagree.
As the time passes by,
The world I live in grows and grows,
Becoming more
Open-minded,
Diverse,
Imperfected,
Filled with desire and goals,
Filled with such emotion.
I do not live in a “perfect” world,
No matter what people say,
No matter what their opinions are,
I am correct when I say,
We do not live in a “perfect” world
But what if I could create this “perfect” world,
Having structure and organization,
To change
The people,
The government,
The economy-
To change all of it,
Will the world finally be “perfect”?
-
The wind lightly touches my face,
The warmth from up above reaches toward me,
Feeling time slowly pass by,
Breathing in and out,
I’m ready.
Standing in the open,
In front of million eyes,
The words spill out of mouth-
“What if we were to change the world?
To make a better place for everyone,
To move ourselves as a species,
To change society views,
To have a better government system,
An amazing economy,
And so much more
Join me to help bettering this mess of a world,
Help me create a “perfect” world!”
-
As time passes by,
I grow in numbers,
Becoming stronger than ever.
Each time I speak to the million of eyes staring,
They await for the next course of action.
Whether they agree or disagree,
They are all waiting.
I breath in and out,
Very slowly,
Preparing to change this world,
For the better good,
An expression slowly creeps on my face,
Not sorrow,
Not anger,
Just a cheerful and go-lucky expression.
They spill easier each time
On my face,
When the words are put out there,
I believe in my words,
I believe in what I say,
And that is all they need to hear.
-
When I speak to the people,
There is a connection between us,
Whether they agree or not with me,
There is a small connection.
To the people that follow me,
To the people that believe in change,
When my words touch their ears,
There is a small flame that lights up,
Listening with such fierceness and passion,
Those are the ones that I can trust.
To the people that don’t believe in change,
They tell me my words are all wrong.
Incorrect.
Unachievable.
That this “perfect” world can’t happen.
To “fix” my ideals,
To “open up” to new ideas,
Sorry,
But that can’t happen.
-
My ideas,
My visions for this world,
Can’t be changed,
Because they are already correct,
No one’s opinions can stop me from what is only correct.
Time passes too quickly when you are busy,
Won’t you agree?
But then again it’s nice to know I’m making a difference to the world.
However, since I have taken over,
A small amount of people still protest,
Telling my ideas are wrong,
That there is still time to make the right decisions,
But I just ignored them,
I know I am making the correct choices to this world.
That is why I have chosen only a few people to lead,
They will keep the soon-to-be perfect world in place.
I have chosen to stay out of leading the
government,
Once the changes have been made,
I want to experience the perfect world I would soon live in.
The people that would soon lead and I have spoken about the people,
We have devised a plan,
That allows people to have a beautiful schedule with rules to follow.
The plan has been filled with structure and organization,
That allows the people to stay in place,
I can imagine their happy expressions that would soon appear.
Although,
When I see those people protest in my view,
A small feeling comes to place,
A feeling where there is something wrong
But,
I shrug it off,
Their words can’t stop me-
The world is different from what it was,
The government has been set,
They no longer tell me what’s happening,
Their next plan is a mystery to everyone,
But, I know they are doing it for good causes,
At least I used to think that way
When I pass the place I rose from,
Gained my power from,
It’s empty
No one walks on the streets,
They live with the constant fear of breaking the rules.
The government won’t say how the economy is going,
But we all know it’s not going well.
The expressions on their faces are different,
I can’t recognize what they are now and what they were before,
The once lively people are not lively anymore
As I pass the such different people,
I can’t look at them,
In their eyes,
They see the person who has made change
Tried to make a “perfect” world.
What is a “perfect” world?
Bettering government,
Bettering people,
But there is only so much a person can do.
The time given to me,
Should have not been given to me,
No one is happy.
We are all trapped.
We don’t express our opinions anymore.
The fear from up above is too much.
But listening to other people’s opinions and being open-minded is what drives us.
I should have been like that,
Now I have to fix this,
Fix this imperfect world.
