I'm Human Too
Thanks for laughing, I say
But each day, my heart grows colder
As your words become older, in my mind
I'm sorry I'm a burden
But it's not my fault I exist
I wish you would just leave me alone
Because I've always done much better on my own
I'm sorry you hate me
And that you can't see
That I'm a person too
If only you knew all I go through
All the tears I shed
Over one stupid sentence
You tell me too die
Just with your eyes
And believe me once I tried
But even in death I cannot hide
From all the pain and sadness
Because the pain is transferred
Because contrary to what you believe,
People care about me too
If only you knew your words can kill a soul
But maybe if you tried they could make someone feel whole
So, choose your words wisely
Because words can kill or they can heal

I always hear kids talk about me and sometimes it makes me want to break in pieces. Instead of doing that I decided to vent with a poem.
