costa maya
I step off the boat and the wind blows in my hair, it is early in the morning. It is so beautiful, the land of Costa Maya. So peaceful, barely touched by man. The first thing I notice is the smell, it was the smell of ocean and the faint smell of all the food they were starting to prepare for everyone to come off the boat. The people in the society are welcoming to all who enter. Their water was so clear I could see everything beneath me, and their sand so soft I could take a nap on it.
But their sun so vibrant it is dangerous. Most people leave being a few shades darker, but I leave being a few shades redder. The overall experience of being in the beautiful land of Costa Maya the ocean breeze, soft sand, and the amazing ceviche, salsa, and quesadilla, made up for being burnt when I left. When we were on our way out we saw a show. People dangling from their feet by ropes, while playing instruments. Then we embarked on the boat and by nightfall we were off to our next location, Belize. But that is a story for another time.
