Poison
Love is just a snake wrapped rose vine.
Hanging on a string,
Tied on a knot so no one can see.
One bite,
One fight,
One time to make everything alright.
Poison and deadly,
But the venom is so heavenly.
Sink in my skin,
Like a tattoo that keeps me covered for days.
As we touch skin to skin in our sleep,
Dreaming of all the things we could wake to.
Infection of the brain,
Can never heal this pain.
Heal this pain of loving you.
It was too deep,
As I swam to the ends of the earth to catch you,
When you were stranded on an island of all blue.
I was the only light there to save you.
Save us from this mess,
This trash of metal and cement,
Building up beneath the decents.
The decents that left the earth,
Perished in with the drain and truth.
The drain that drains the remains,
The one's that died before.
Their bodies gone and drained.
And the truth that lies in this poison,
That keeps it all hidden within the remains,
All deep inside of you.
