Glass Ceiling

Everyone has a glass ceiling,
No matter who it is.
Its strength depends on how much you want to fly
...And if you’re a woman.
I’m female
And I have my own glass ceiling.
I can only look up for right now,
Gazing at the mesmerizing stars,
Wishing to be amongst them.
In the future,
My daughter would be doing the same when she’s young
Except she would only be doing it to gaze at her mama
As her mama once became able to shine.
