Clay - A Poem
  its rich brown hue
  catches the light,
  scattering it throughout
  the empty room
  the damp, sticky surface
  glistens faintly as
  an earthy aroma
  permeates the air
  the firm texture
  and delicate figure
  mangled and twisted
  in a hideous heap
  yet it's soft and gentle
  so malleable and smooth
  submissive to the utter will
  of his marred hands
  slowly, the sharp edges
  converge into sleek curves
  coaxing the beauty
  out of its warped form
