The lake resembled a mirror
A massive pane of glass reflecting silhouettes on the horizon
The sun blinding me as it sets behind the towering pine trees
I’ve never caught a glimpse of anything like it
The fresh aroma of pine drifts across the water
A fishy fragrance fills my nose
Numbing all of my worries
Tingles shivering down my limbs
My feet in the cold water chilling me from the scorching sun
Flies touch down on my skin sending a tickling sensation to run up my spine
The birds chirping bring to mind a lullaby
The miniscule crashing of waves calm me
Drifting away
Peaceful
Quiet
Calm
