Love Over Power
They say love is what utterly makes one whole,
like a shepherd, love works to bring us all together.
But why does it speak so untrue?
For awhile, I suppose that love grows like a vast jungle of evergreen,
up until it faces the true menace to all parallels.
Almost as if man was not meant to survive off of love,
the physical envy of a green and gold fuse into a single entity that destroys all good.
It seems that this priceless feeling can only be shortly embraced.
Because after all, money rules the world.
Money triggers all sins to rise to the surface,
a jewel that man bestows as the most powerful essence.
But what about love?
They twist and tangle until one burns to embers.
Only one can survive in a planet so soured by power.
Green and gold will win every time.

In my life, I have come across many people that are clouded by the desires of what money could buy. I have seen relationships that have been destroyed for one not providing other needs. In the end, I wish it were love that kept people together. Unfortunately from my experience, it is money that destroys such a beautiful things such as love.
