My Lake, My Love
We have been here for years it seems,
But I don’t mind, nor does she.
I sit here, painting the beautiful landscape I see all around me.
A shimmering lake, surrounded by a small clearing before the dense woods,
And the three celestial bodies I can see:
The shining star above me radiating light,
The full moon standing in radiance, not like the sun but beautiful nonetheless,
The person laying next to me, my friend, my partner, my wife.
We don’t speak much while we are out here, but we don’t have to.
There is nothing to say after all.
We both notice and appreciate the beauty around us,
The lovely weather above us,
The flowery aroma encircling us,
The pleasant company of each other.

I saw a nice painting and wrote this poem based on it, though I don't know what it is called.
