Summer dreams
We ride free with no worries
We can be heard with our booming speakers
We chew on sweet green mint
We are
Young
Dumb
And broke
Crisp Axe Apollo, dusting a trail behind our backs
Riding around screaming and embracing life
Hair from my head fluttering in the cool breeze
Grasping the bulky handle bars on my friend Nic’s bike
Speeding down the stoney streets of Washington
Strong breezes bite at my shivering face
Just going, not knowing where we are
Climbing the branches of an old birch tree
I love living dumb
I love living free
I love living life
