In this time when political tension runs wild.  
In this time where free speech is questioned like a child.
In this time where patriotism is muddied.
In this time where soldiers are bloodied.
In this time where everyone goes to extremes.
In this time where everyone wants to scream.
In this time when meeting in between is considered obscene.
In this time when everyone is just mean.
In this time where government is broken.
In this time where points of view go unspoken.
In this time where children are homeless.
In this time when parents feel hopeless.
In this time when healthcare is going nowhere.
In this time how much more can be we bear?
In this time we need more tact.
            In this time where the people must act.
            In this time where there are shades of grey
            In this time where we shouldn't just obey.
In this time when we shouldn’t just scream and shout.
     We need a third party to balance things out.
