Writers Blok
As I sit down to write my thoughts for the day,
My mind goes blank and the words flutter away.
There is so much commotion inside my brain,
Feelings of happiness, confusion, frustration, and pain.
I daydream a bit and let go of the norm,
Slowly it happens, a thought starts to form.
My thoughts turn into words and words into phrases,
Creating vivid images of my life’s daily changes.
The words fill the pages almost never ending,
But something seems wrong with the pictures they are sending.
Then I realize what I wrote just seems all wrong,
Nothing makes sense, it’s all just gone.
So I start from scratch and clear my mind,
In hopes to make these pages shine.
The challenge goes on like the ticking of a clock,
I must pound through the silence and break the writer’s block.
