The Shadow

He is so handsome
Though you know you can never reach him
He is the reason your heart is still pounding
And why you are still able to put one foot in front of the other
It’s impossible.
He can’t be this happy
How can he be so confident?
When the world is crumbling beneath us
It is difficult to admit
But it is you
The shadow has consumed you because you are worthless
You were never good enough for him
