EMTs and flashing lights
Long day into a long night
I honestly couldn't believe
The things I was seeing
Black dresses and hushed tones
Wornout faces, ringing phone
I was trying not to believe
The things I had seen
Dead grass and cold stones
One of them our own
I had to believe
What I had seen
Old bones and a busy day
Hard work with no pay
He didn't answer any calls
My heart started to fall
So we drove over there
And found him still in his chair
If I told you you wouldn't believe
The things I can't unsee
