In The Beginning MAG
Lethargy beckons – I wake
I am extracted from slumber in sheer willpower
Nothing moves within,
Nor outside
Eyes so worn, once tender
Ponderously make their path
To a heinous sight
They met with yours
Breaths usurped, your apparition at fault
Wind is knocked out
My throat shuts tight
The body detaches and I cannot go on
Worn as the shoe of a tap dancer
Dimly lit halls and a warm bed
I settle for the lack of motion, my lids shut
Once more – inertia beckons
