"The caterpillar thought it was over, then she emerged a beautiful butterfly."

She's a worldly girl
Living in a small town
She craves city sounds
And clustered layout
She tends to see the bigger picture
While the people trapped around
Focus on the simplistic patterns within
They do not see how that tends to be a sin
They do not want to know language
Religion
Or major politics
Preferring rumors spread
And forever mourning
The whole town's dead!!
It's easy to get lost
When everyone has the same boss
And nothing ever changes
It's paralyzing
Always analyzing
What can only be known
She's a worldly girl
Born in the wrong place
And at the wrong time
And she's losing her mind.

I wrote this because, in the small town I live in, it feels impossible to see the bigger picture and be better than my parents.
