This is how I say goodbye
With broken truths and
Stolen lies
This is how I decide to say
That I love you
From miles away
When the world
Falls apart
And the poke of reality
Seems too sharp
A trembling hand draws blood
With a red stained knife
And tears flood
Stinging eyes
A written note
Holds feelings untold
And a smooth gray stone
Marks rotted old bones
When the girl in the mirror sadly says
That she is better gone today
And a chalk outline
Marks the spot
Of a where a laughing soul
Once stood
