Unmask Me, Before It's too Late
  I can mean the difference between Life and Death…
  I control your Thoughts, your Actions, and your Life.
  I cloud your Judgement;
  I am unclear… fragile,
  and you don’t quite understand me.
  But, then again, who does?

  I am invisible,
  and you don’t want to see me.
  I am the one thing you don’t like to talk about,
  but I am held dearest to you.

  I am both Liked, and Loathed.
  You shield me and you protect me.
  I am concealed from the influence of others;
  the bad things…
  But they still find me.

  A precious thing, I am.
  I am sensitive and insecure,
  or I am thick-skinned and confident.
  I am corrupted,
  I am hurt,
  I am destroyed.

  I am your self-esteem,
Consumed by Darkness.
  And sometimes…
  There’s no going back.
